1. Cut nails and hair

The qurbani must understand and pay attention to that after he buys the sacrificial animal and it is already the month of Dzulhijjah, he is prohibited from cutting his nails and hair.

مَن كانَ لَهُ ذِبحٌ يَذبَـحُه فَإِذَا أَهَلَّ هِلاَلُ ذِى الْحِجَّةِ فَلاَ يَأْخُذَنَّ مِنْ شَعْرِهِ وَلاَ مِنْ أَظْفَارِهِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى يُضَحِّىَ

It means:

“Whoever has an animal to be sacrificed, when the 1st of Dzulhijjah has entered, then he should not cut any part of his hair and nails until he has finished slaughtering.” (HR. Muslim 5236, Abu Daud 2793, and others).
